I had a crazy idea when we first started talking about showing Waypoints in Colorado. “Let’s launch the movie all across the state and bring together Colorado” One night, One film, One Colorado was launched. It was an ambitious plan. Putting on three movies in three brand new cities required a tremendous amount of work from a lot of dedicated volunteers.
But Colorado and the angling community stepped up!! We filled three theaters with people willing to make a difference and help us raise more than $8,000 for the Restore The Range Fund!!
Huge thanks to Steve McLaughlin and Front Range Anglers for being amazing partners in this project and donating their time and gear to our raffle. I especially want to thank everyone who came to the show that night that paid $25 for a ticket!! Your generosity cannot be understated!!
Thank you to Tim Widmer and the CMC Fly Fishing Club for being our boots on the ground in Steamboat!! Also a big thanks to Steamboat Flyfisher for their support and the Yampa Valley Fly Fishers for reaching out and helping!!
Thank you to Sawyer Connelly and the CC Fly Fishing Club for stepping up and being our local support crew!! We were very impressed by your hard work and dedication. A big thanks to Anglers Covey for their donation to the raffle.
For a few hours last Friday night over 300 Coloradoans came together to watch a movie and help out fisheries not in their backyard. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty damn cool!!! I hope The Greenbacks can facilitate more of it in the future!! If you keep coming and buying raffle tickets, we’ll keep doing it.
